Job Title: Senior Consultant - 3D Artist XR

Introduction to role:
Are you ready to lead the charge in creating immersive AR/VR/XR experiences? We are on the lookout for a dynamic 3D Modelling Lead who can transform ideas into high-quality 3D assets and environments using Unity. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creative leadership, technical expertise, and innovation, guiding a team of talented 3D modellers to deliver captivating real-time experiences across enterprise and industrial applications.
Accountabilities:
Lead a team of 3D artists/modellers to design and develop assets for AR/VR/XR experiences
Collaborate closely with Unity developers, UX designers, and solution architects to ensure seamless integration of 3D content into applications
Remain hands-on in modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, optimization, and light baking for real-time engines
Define and enforce best practices for asset quality, performance, and pipeline workflows
Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest tools, techniques, and trends in immersive 3D content creation (e.g., photogrammetry, AI-assisted modeling, USD, WebXR, etc.)
Manage timelines, allocate tasks, and mentor junior artists to improve output quality and efficiency
Work with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into visual concepts and immersive environments
Essential Skills/Experience:
Strong proficiency in 3D modelling tools: Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter/Designer
Experience in real-time optimization for Unity-based applications (LOD, lightmaps, occlusion, polycount management)
Solid understanding of Unity 3D pipeline (including shaders, materials, lighting, prefab management)
Experience delivering assets for AR/VR/XR platforms: Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, HoloLens, mobile AR, etc.
Good grasp of PBR workflows, texture baking, and modular design
Proven experience leading or mentoring a 3D art team
Familiarity with Unity version control (e.g., Plastic SCM or Git)
Understanding of Agile or iterative development methodologies
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Exposure to USD (Universal Scene Description), GLTF/GLB, or real-time pipelines
Experience with Immersive storytelling, spatial UI, or industrial training simulations
Knowledge of AI/ML tools for 3D asset generation or procedural modeling
Portfolio showcasing AR/VR/XR projects and environments
